Welcome to the Win Zone (UX/UI).
An integrated campaign for the New York Lottery aimed at increasing the feeling of winnability by enabling people to benefit from the wins of others, without any loss to the actual winner. The primary aspects of the campaign are the Win Zone (an app) and the Ultimate Win Zone (a pop-up shop).
The Win Zone app is meant to be a replacement for the New York Lottery’s other apps, consolidating all the current available features in one place, as well as incorporating new features targeted specifically at risk-averse lottery skeptics (in the form of Millenials and Gen Z).
The primary feature of the app is the Win Zone Map, which displays all the registered New York Lottery vendors. Every time a vendor sells a winning ticket they update the map, changing their location marker from green to rainbow. This gives players a view of all the wins happing around them in real time. Players can visit these win zones within the time allotted to claim point rewards. These points contribute to the loyalty system, based on incremental rewards.
The socks are a giveaway for everyone who attends the pop-up, so everyone is a winner.
